Sand of a dune has energy in the form of gravitational potential energy.

Greater is the height of the sand dune greater the potential energy, transformed into kinetic energy. When sand particles bounce against each other,the kinetic energy is transformed into acoustic energy or sound, just like waves of vibrations.

A researcher of Finland found that the soud of aurora is produced when specially poweful bursts of matter reach the Earth from the sun.

"Aquasonics Acoustics" is a project by computer engineer Mark Fisherthat takes the sound waves from animals and transforms them into a brilliant array os colors and patterns. Fisher found his solutionin the mathematical theory of wavelets,which he applied to sounds, from different frequencies.
